Kyle Eastwood with his new Cinematic project. Although there was a lot of film and acting in Kyle Eastwood's childhood, the home was also filled with Duke Ellington, Count Basie and Miles Davis. Maybe that's why the choice fell on music and jazz in particular. It was bass that became the preferred instrument, and since then Kyle Eastwood has evolved into a virtuoso musician and a very accomplished composer.
In the new project "Cinematic", his two major paces are merging - film and music. Kyle Eastwood has incorporated film music into his jazz world and the result contains a lot of music from well-known films. Here the audience gets to know new music from classics such as Bullitt, Taxi Driver and Pink Panther. Kyle Eastwood also interprets some of her favourite composers such as Ennio Morricone, Lalo Schifrin and Henry Mancini. We also get to hear Kyle's version of the music for Gran Torino, which he co-wrote with his father Clint Eastwood.
In 2012, Kyle Eastwood ended Maijazz. Outside it was a cold and rainy evening, but inside a crowded Stavangeren the atmosphere was high with music that warmed. We look forward to hearing with Kyle Eastwood and his band.
