With a car, drive E39 south towards Ålgård, and follow the signposts.
Parking at Kongeparken
Kongeparken has a large parking area in front of the park, with simple access to the park’s main entrance. It is not allowed to park overnight with car, coach, caravan or similar. During summer season, (school holiday) the parking fee is NOK 50, - per day. The rest of the year, it is free to park here. Everyone who has purchased the following tickets have free parking also during summer season:
Brumle’s family card (Brumles Familiekort) – show your card to the parking attendant.
Hotel package (entrance to park and hotel) – show your ticket received by e-mail.
Internet ticket with a barbecue buffet – show your ticket received by e-mail.
In addition – all these have free parking all year: tractors, mopeds, motor cycles and el cars (el cars are not charged with parking fee, and have their own parking at the top end near the main entrance, where there are 5 charging stations, and it works by the first come, first served principle).
There is handicap parking just by the main gate. Should you need to make use of this, notify the parking attendant, and you will be guided to the correct spot. This is free.
Get to Kongeparken by bus
Take bus number 23 from Sandnes central bus station, track 15, in direction Ålgård, go off at the bus stop Opstad (Gjesdal). From here walk east (with your back to the grocery store Spar), cross over the walking bridge, and you will then see the park up the hill. It takes around five minutes to walk from the bus stop to Kongeparken.
