General facilities

  • Good to know - Accommodation: Booking: Contact Jæren friluftsråd. Fishing: Free pole fishing by Mån, in Månavatnet and the southern part of Fidjavatnet. Dog leash mandatory: 1 April - 20 August.
  • Parking - Parkering for a fee at Eikeskog.
  • Practical information - The hike is steep from from the start/parking. Both stairs and chains to hold on to. Remember sturdy footwear. Preferably mountain boots.
  • Warning - Be prepared for all types of weather, even in summer. This is why you must bring clothing and equipment apt for sunny and nice weather, but also account for snow, rain and weather wind. The weather can change rapidly. If you hike in winter, please bring extra safety equipment, i.e. a headlight.
