DNT (The Norwegian Trekking Association) marked routes are marked with red T's, painted on cairns and stones. Local associations and sports clubs may have marked hiking trails in other ways. There are many different varieties. Ask at the tourist information office if you are unsure of the markings in the area you are visiting.
