  • Good to know - Dogs on leash mandatory: 1 April - 20 August Fishing: Southwestern part of Revholdstjørn and eastern part of Gramstadtjørn: free fishing with rod on public terrain. Swimming: Revholstjørn.
  • Parking - Parking at start of path. Access from rv. 13 and Daleveien towards Dale, turn off towards Gramstad.
  • Practical information - Clothing: Preferably wool closest to body, then fleece and then windproof jacket. Bring rainproof clothing, hat, gloves and spare change. It is important to have sturdy footwear - use hiking/mountain boots. Pack enough food and drink adapted to length of your hike. First aid kit. Bring your phone, but remember that you might not have reception at all times
  • Warning - Be prepared for all types of weather in the mountains, even in summer. This is why you must bring clothing and equipment apt for sunny and nice weather, but also account for snow, rain and heavy wind. The weather can change rapidly.

Road Directions

Gramstad is around 10 minutes from Sandnes centre, and in the middle of Northern Jæren's largest recreational areas. Follow Daleveien on the eastern side of the Gandsfjord. Drive past Aspervika and Sandvika and turn at sign to Gramstad. Drive up the hill and stop at a large parking lot. Info board displaying other tour suggestion in the area. Stavanger trekking association's recreational centre at Gramstad lies near the parking place.

Public Transport Directions

By public transportation, bus no. 29. from Sandnes, get off at Gramstad or at Dale. Cafe at Dale.
